St. Benet's Abbey is a family run business. Although offering all modern comforts the building retains the charm and character of it's historical past. The seven bedrooms are well furnished in an individual style, with ensuites, colour TVs, central heating, hair dryers and tea/coffee making facilities. The abbey has ample offroad parking. The location of St Benets Abbey makes it an ideal base for the tourist, being ½ a mile from the A30, just outside Bodmin and easy to find. In the village you will find a pretty pub, a Norman Church, post office and village shop. Padstow, Tintagel (the legendary birthplace of King Arthur) Port Issac & Boscastle on the North coast and Fowey, St Austell (with the port of Charlestown), Looe, Polperro & Mevagissey to the South are excellent days out. St Benets is at the half-way point of the Saints Way, a medieval route taken by pilgrims on their way from Ireland to France which crosses from Padstow to Fowey making it an excellent two-day walk with a comfortable over-night stop at the abbey. Throughout the year we host a variety of special events and celebrations
The house is new with all modern facilities and is roomy and comfortable. We endeavour to make all our guests welcome starting with tea and biscuits on arrival. There is also afternoon tea available so that you can come back and relax at any time. We are set in open countryside and have lovely views all around. An excellent Pub/Restaurant is only 2 mins. away. The famous Stannary town of Tavistock is only three miles away and Dartmoor with its National Park is a great place for walkers and sight -seers and we are only 30 minutes from the coast. For those who like history the Victorian living Museum of Morwellham is only a ten minute drive away, with a range of walks, mine rides and ladies in victorian finery. The well known chef Peter Gorton is taking over the running of the Morwellham Quay pub at the living Museum (so well worth a visit). New cycle trails are currently being made locally so there is something for all the family. We have storage and repair facilities for cyclists and plenty of easy parking for the motorist. For those without transport we provide a pick-up service to and from the Tavistock bus station. Well behaved children are welcome and families can be accomodated using the double and twin rooms in conjuction with each other along with our very large family bathroom at a very low rate.
Milber is a small and friendly licensed guest house in the centre of Newquay. Our position means you are only a few mins walk to town centre, beaches, night-life, shops, coach and train stations. We have seven bedrooms, all rooms refurbished to a high standard with colour t.v. with freeview tea and coffee making facilities. hair dryer, own keys so you may come and go freely. En-suite available. Breakfast included. No large single sex parties will be accepted. Min 2 nights bookings Fri/Sat unless telephone confirmation. Greystone Pool is a family run bed & breakfast concern located in a lovely rural location in South East Cornwall, just 5 minutes drive from the very popular resort of Looe and even less from the famous old smuggling village of Polperro. Dependant on availability, there are standard (shared bathroom) and ensuite rooms. All the rooms are central heated with double glazing, are tastefully decorated, spotlessly clean and comfortable. Standard rooms are equipped with hand basins, shaver points, remote TV, clock radio alarms and have country views. All ensuite rooms also have country views and are equipped with Freeview TV and our superior ensuites also have DVD / CD players. There is a large selection of movies available, at no extra charge. We have now installed free wireless internet for guests who wish to bring along their laptops to keep in touch with family and friends or their business. Should you not have a laptop, then just ask and we will arrange for you to check your email as well as provide optional facilities such as fax & copying should you require them. Please feel free to visit Greystone Pool website where you can view all our rooms on an individual basis. From the moment of your arrival, John & Barbara will make you feel welcome with the added personal touch of freshly made tea or coffee just to settle you in. In the morning, you may indulge yourself with Barbara's full English breakfast or take a simple lite breakfast consisting of :- orange,tropical,cranberry or exotic fruit juices, cereal, fruit, toast, tea or fresh percolated coffee. We time everything so that breakfast is cooked and served to you immediately, rather than pre-cook and keep food on warmers. On your arrival, we will always enquire about your preferences, thereby assuring you that you are never served items that you dislike. We will be only to pleased too advise you on local places to visit or where to eat in the evenings. Please remember that as a family run bed and breakfast, this is our home we would appreciate you vacating your room between 11am and 5pm in order that we may carry out room service, general duties and enjoy a short period of choice time to ourselves. The exception being health reasons or returning to retrieve forgotten items. Free level onsite parking is available covered by CCTV.
